The trip to Namibia in the south west of Africa, was one of the biggest highlights of my study time. In 9th semester I was invited to Namibia by Polytechnic of Namibia to assist with my experience in virtual worlds and knowledge transfer systems. Polytechnic of Namibia, have a long term project about preserving indigenous knowledge. The project called for a prototype, which could be field tested on a local pilot village situated in the Kalahari Desert by the end of the semester. So in the end of November I travelled to Namibia and during December a complete prototype was developed and tested in situ. Based on the results a number of peer-reviewed papers were accepted in international renowned conferences. The project was such a good success that afterwards a PhD at Aalborg University was established on the work.
